Call for Committee Volunteers
151 Brew Club Members! We’re looking for volunteers to join our various committees to help grow the club and create additional value for our membership. Serving on a committee is a great way to get involved and requires only a small time commitment. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Communications Committee
- Responsible for generating awareness about the club and keeping the membership informed through the website, social media, newsletter, and other channels.
- Chaired by Michelle Corbett
- We need additional volunteers to join this committee.
- Education Committee
- Responsible for planning and organizing educational activities to expand members’ knowledge of beer and the brewing process.
- Chaired by Dan Tatarka
- We need additional volunteers to join this committee.
- Events and Competitions Committee **NEW**
- Responsible for facilitating brew club competitions and club participation in external competitions. Also plans club events (e.g., in honor of National Homebrew Day), participation in festivals, road trips, and other activities.
- Chair TBD
- We need a chair for this committee and volunteers to join as committee members.

Collaboration with Decipher Brewing
REMINDER — the club has organized a brew day at Decipher Brewing in Charlottesville on Sunday, January 29 starting at 11:00 a.m.
Several members will be brewing a Pale Ale on Decipher’s 1BBL system. All club members are welcome to join to observe the brewing process and enjoy some award-winning Decipher beers!
Members will be responsible for their own bar tabs.

Barleywine Tasting
January 22, 2023: Our members and guests got to try a variety of barleywines and had a fabulous time! These included American Barleywine (22C) and English Barleywine (17D).
